"This collection of BusSim simulations allows me to provide a learning
environment for the different business functions without requiring students to
learn a different product industry. This benefit enables students to focus on
learning and applying the functional skills almost immediately rather than
learning the characteristics of an unfamiliar industry. The BusSim family of
simulations is very instructor-friendly and easily lends itself to
distance-learning situations." Michael L. Bruce, Ph.D. Marketing,
Anderson University.
"Our experience with BusSim Strategy
has been a very positive one. Especially good is the comprehensive layout of the simulation, which offers several challenges to the
student teams and instructors alike. Since this program is meant for
facilitation of learning in the life-like setting, the complex
interrelationships of decisions, to be made during simulation, only add value
to this tool. The BusSim Strategy simulation does a very fine job in
highlighting the importance of connections between different functional areas
in the business venture. It definitely helps to identify the operational
constraints that might be different from successful implementation ofa planned strategy. This in turn
illustrates to the students the importance of careful strategic planning. To conclude, BusSim Strategy offers a well-presented learning
experience” Tõnu Roolaht, University of Tartu, Estonia
"I found the BusSim Human Resource Simulation very useful
in supplementing the text for my class. The simulation provides the
opportunity to develop a strategic perspective, and at the same time requires
hands-on decisions and reinforces the financial impact of HR decisions.
Students found the simulation challenging, reinforcing, and reported enjoying
the competitive challenge. It provides the faculty with feedback as to
outcomes, and assists in determining areas of strength and areas needing to be
reinforced. Since this is part of the integrated simulation series, students
report that it is easily used, and that they felt that it improves further
their analytical skills." Dr. J. Randall Nutter, Professor of
Business and Department Chair, Geneva College.
"Our College of Business has been using
BusSim Introductory for several years, annually servicing over
250 students in 64 teams in 4 industries. As a result, Dave
Jordan had to make extensive modifications to the program to fit
our needs. His work has been error-free and he is very quick to
respond to any requests I might make. He has been available for
help to me as well as the students who have questions. The
program has provided first semester freshmen with a realistic
experience both in running a company and in working in teams. I
have tried other simulations and none of them have worked as
well as the one developed by Dave Jordan."
